Wordio Rush is a head-to-head timed word game played in your browser. Each match has five rounds. In every round both players receive the exact same seven letters and the same board layout. Rounds last 30 seconds and players build a single contiguous word starting from the first square on their rack.
Rounds include bonus squares: rounds 2 and 3 have letter multipliers, rounds 4 and 5 have word multipliers. A valid seven-letter play gains an extra 10 points applied after any multiplier. Matches use live matchmaking or private challenge links, let you play as guest or sign in to save Rush stats, and show results at the end of five rounds.
How to play Wordio
- Start a Rush match by finding a match or sending a private challenge link to a friend.
- When the round begins, use tap, type, drag, or click to place tiles and build one word from the seven letters, starting in the first square with no gaps.
- Press Space to return tiles to your rack and shuffle, and press Play word or wait until the 30-second timer submits your current arrangement automatically.
- Rounds 2, 3 include letter multipliers and rounds 4, 5 include word multipliers, and a valid seven-letter word earns a 10 point bonus after multipliers.
- After each round you see results for up to ten seconds and both players can press Ready or Enter to start the next round sooner.

- Prioritize reaching the bonus square in rounds that contain multipliers since multipliers apply to letters or the entire word depending on the round.
- If you can make a seven-letter valid word, do so to earn the 10 point bonus as applied after any multiplier for maximum value.
- Use the Space key to quickly return tiles to your rack and shuffle when you are stuck, then rebuild a different word before time expires.
