Word Decks preview artwork

Word Decks is a browser daily word puzzle that deals you a 15-card letter deck and asks you to make three distinct words per round across three rounds. After rounds one and two you may enter a two-minute market to swap deck cards using points from your bank. Your final score equals total word points minus any market spending and is ranked on the daily leaderboard.

Scoring combines card point values, length bonuses and multiplicative bonuses for vowels, rare letters and palindromes; bonuses stack and multiply the length bonus. All players receive the same Daily Challenge letters. The game runs in public beta, stores achievements on a Word Decks account, and can be played in a mobile or desktop browser without downloading anything.

How to play Word Decks

  1. Start with a 15-card deck dealt for the Daily Challenge.
  2. In Round 1, create exactly three different words of at least three letters each using available cards, then submit the round to bank the points.
  3. After Round 1, click Start Market to stage optional swaps within two minutes and lock in changes which deduct from your bank.
  4. Repeat Round 2 and Market 2, then play Round 3 and submit your final three words.
  5. Your final score is your total word points minus all market spending from rounds one and two.

Tips for Word Decks

  • Prioritise longer words that cross length bonus thresholds since length bonuses add fixed points before multipliers apply.
  • Target words with three or more vowels to double the word score, and include one rare letter (J Q X Z) for an additional ×2 multiplier.
  • Use palindromes sparingly because the ×3 multiplier is powerful but palindromes are hard to form; when you can make one of substantial length it often pays off.
  • During the market, remember the first swap is free; plan affordable swaps because costs rise steeply for each additional replacement.
