level gives you twelve things and one hidden number to discover by balancing two sides of a scale. You select four items for each side and try to make their total weights equal without ever seeing the actual numbers. The interface lets you perform up to three test weighs to check different splits before the final answer.

Each day the site provides a Classic and a Hard puzzle, so there are two new challenges every day. After using test weighs you submit your final split and the game ranks your selection against every possible split for that same puzzle. Themes include food, geography and logic, and the experience is presented in English.

How to play level

  1. Read the twelve items shown for the current puzzle.
  2. Choose four items to place on the left side of the scale.
  3. Choose four different items to place on the right side of the scale.
  4. Use a test weigh to see whether your chosen sides balance, tilt left, or tilt right.
  5. Repeat up to two more test weighs to refine your selection.
  6. Submit your final split to have the game evaluate and rank it among all possible splits.

Tips for level

  • Start by testing splits that compare items from distinct categories to reveal large imbalances quickly.
  • Use the first weigh to separate obvious heavy and light items rather than aiming for a perfect balance immediately.
  • Between weighs, swap only one or two items so you learn the effect of each change.
  • On Hard puzzles prioritize eliminating extreme mismatches early, since fewer plausible balances remain.

level FAQ

What is level?

level is a daily logic puzzle where you are given twelve items and must choose four for each side of a scale to match a hidden numeric weight; you may perform up to three test weighs to learn whether a proposed split tips left, tips right, or is balanced.

How many test weighs do you get?

You are allowed three test weighs per puzzle; these let you try different four-versus-four splits and observe whether the scale leans left, leans right, or is balanced before you submit your final selection.

When does a new puzzle come out?

A new puzzle appears daily, with two variants published each day: a Classic puzzle and a Hard puzzle; each day’s challenge replaces that puzzle with the next day’s pair.

Is there a hard mode?

Yes, the game offers two daily variants: a Classic puzzle and a Hard puzzle, so players can choose the harder daily challenge when they want increased difficulty and tighter inference.

How is my result scored or ranked?

After you submit your final split the game ranks your selection against every possible split for that same puzzle; that ranking shows how your balance compares to all other valid four-versus-four arrangements.

Is level like Wordle?

level is similar to Wordle in that it is a single daily puzzle you solve once per day, but instead of guessing words you must infer hidden numeric relationships by arranging items on two sides of a scale and using up to three test weighs.
