How to play El Código del Día
Tips for El Código del Día
What is El Código del Día?
El Código del Día is a daily logic deduction game where you must discover a secret code of four positions using six possible colors; colors may repeat. After each guess you receive two global counters: how many colors are in the correct position and how many appear elsewhere, but these counters do not indicate which specific slots are correct.
Is El Código del Día free to play?
Yes, El Código del Día is free to play and you can solve the daily challenge without registering. Creating an account is optional and only needed if you want to sync statistics, join groups, keep rachas and accumulate Aura for optional hints.
How many guesses do I get in El Código del Día?
You have ten attempts to discover the daily code. After each attempt the game gives two global indicators summarizing the result of the whole guess but not marking individual positions.
When does the new puzzle come out in El Código del Día?
A new puzzle is released each day and the site displays a countdown to the next code; your result for today remains shareable until the next code appears. The page explicitly states that there is one daily challenge that everyone plays the same day.
Can I play past puzzles in El Código del Día?
Yes, the site provides access to previous results and a historical record of the daily challenge. Additionally you can practice in the Infinito or Desafío modes, which let you play without affecting daily rankings or Aura.
Do I need an account to play El Código del Día?
No, you can play as an invited guest and the browser will save progress and statistics locally, but creating an account lets you sync across devices, join groups, have your daily results count in private rankings and accumulate Aura.
What do the color indicators mean in El Código del Día?
The green indicator shows how many colors are in the correct position and the yellow indicator shows how many colors are present in the code but placed in a different position; neither indicator points to specific slots. The hints are totals for the entire guess, so deduction requires combining information from multiple attempts.

Yes, you can share your result without revealing the solution; the site offers options to copy a verified link, share an image or copy text of your result. Shared results do not disclose the code and allow others to try to beat your performance.
