Daily Holes preview artwork

Daily Holes presents one new nine-hole course every day that is identical for all players on that UTC date. Each course lists hole pars and yardages, prevailing wind bands, hazards such as pot bunkers, rivers and bridges, and surface behaviours that change how far the ball carries and rolls. The site offers practice, a target range, friends and leaderboards.

Gameplay focuses on choosing lines, timing swings and allowing for rollout so you finish in the correct putting ring. The interface shows a sweeping aiming line, a power bar with a PIN marker for shorter shots and coloured putting rings that determine putt counts. Courses and hazards are described on the course page, and a strategy guide explains club yardages, rollout and landing tactics.

How to play Daily Holes

  1. Play Daily Holes by opening the daily course page to see the nine-hole layout, pars and yardages for the UTC date.
  2. Choose your line by tapping or clicking the course to aim and lock the angle you want using the sweeping line cue.
  3. Time your swing by stopping the power bar; use the PIN marker as a guide for shorter approaches and controlled distance.
  4. Plan for rollout and hazards so your landing spot leaves room to stop inside the gold, pale or outer putting rings.
  5. Complete the nine holes; your first completed ranked round for the day is recorded and can appear on the live and weekly leaderboards.

Tips for Daily Holes

  • Check the hole par and yardage before selecting your opening club to avoid coming up short or overshooting the green.
  • Aim to stop in the gold putting ring when possible since it yields the fewest putts; allow for roll on firm ground which increases rollout.
  • Avoid deep rough, bunkers and water because roughs and bunkers reduce carry and widen dispersion while water incurs penalties.
  • Use the practice mode and target range to learn how wind bands and gusts affect long high shots versus low runs.

Daily Holes FAQ

When does the daily golf course change?

The daily golf course changes at midnight UTC; the UTC date determines all nine holes, wind and hazards so everyone on the same date plays the same course. The site shows the UTC date, total par and yardage for each course to help you plan club selection.

Do I need an account to play Daily Holes?

No, you can play as a guest in the browser without signing in; guest play works locally but will not upload ranked rounds or sync across devices. To save progress across devices and enter leaderboards you must sign in before starting a ranked round.

Why did my shot finish short?

Shots finish short when the ball is played from reduced-carry lies: rough cuts carry to 84 percent, deep rough to 62 percent and bunkers to 70 percent, with each capped at 160 yards and increased dispersion. Water introduces a penalty and special island or river crossings use marked drop areas or return you to prior positions.

Can I replay today's ranked round in Daily Holes?

Your first completed daily ranked round remains final and cannot be replaced, but you can practise the same daily course afterward without affecting that recorded score. The site distinguishes between the ranked round and practice attempts so practice will not overwrite your leaderboard entry.

Does changing language reset my round?

No, changing the interface language does not reset the course or saved progress; language alters only the interface so you can return to the menu and resume your round after switching. The site is available in English, Gaeilge, Deutsch, Français and Español.

What happens when the connection fails?

If the connection fails you can return to the menu and resume to reload a server-saved round; guest progress is stored in the browser and can be lost if site data is cleared. Signed-in players have server-saved rounds, while guests rely on local storage for resumable progress.
