TerraPoint presents five famous landmarks each day and gives you a single guess per landmark by dropping a pin on an interactive 3D globe. You can spin, zoom, pinch and double-tap the globe to locate places. Scores are recorded to a daily leaderboard that compares everyone who played the same five landmarks.

After your daily run you may play unlimited practice rounds that do not repeat that day’s five landmarks. Exact scoring gives up to 5,000 points for a guess within about 25 kilometers and a maximum possible daily total of 25,000 points. The site also offers themed modes so you can play five rounds drawn from a selected category.

Tips for TerraPoint

  • Start with world regions rather than exact coordinates to reduce large distance penalties on early guesses.
  • Use zoom and tilt extensively to reveal coastlines and country shapes before dropping a pin.
  • Reserve riskier, refined placements until you have zoomed to close-in detail to maximize the chance of scoring within the 25 km full-point window.
  • Play practice rounds to learn typical landmark scales and the map view controls before attempting the daily leaderboard.

TerraPoint FAQ

What is TerraPoint?

TerraPoint is a daily geography game in which everyone receives the same five landmarks, and you drop one pin per landmark on a zoomable 3D globe to score based on how close your pin is to the true location. The game records a daily leaderboard so players can compare scores for the same five targets.

How many guesses do I get in TerraPoint?

You get one guess for each of the five landmarks, so a total of five guesses per daily challenge. Each round requires you to drop and lock a single pin for a landmark before moving on to the next one.

When does the new TerraPoint puzzle come out?

A new set of five landmarks is provided every day as the daily challenge. Everyone receives the same five landmarks for that day so scores are directly comparable on the daily leaderboard.

Can I play additional rounds beyond the daily TerraPoint challenge?

Yes, after finishing the daily five-guess run you can play unlimited practice rounds. Practice rounds never repeat that day’s five landmarks, allowing continued play without affecting the daily leaderboard.

How is scoring computed in TerraPoint?

Scoring awards up to 5,000 points for a single guess that lands within roughly 25 kilometers of the true location, and a perfect daily total is 25,000 points. Total score sums the points earned from each of the five guesses and is posted to the leaderboard automatically.

Can I share my TerraPoint results and put a name on the leaderboard?

Yes, your score is posted automatically and you may optionally save a display name for the leaderboard; there is also a share option to copy or share today’s result. The interface provides controls to save your name and to share the daily outcome.

Does TerraPoint work on mobile devices?

Yes, TerraPoint supports touch controls such as pinch, double-tap and tap to interact with the globe, so the game is playable on mobile devices as well as on desktop using mouse controls.
